MY STORY

Fashion Forward

I began my love for personal styling over a decade ago, before I even realized that I could pursue it as a career. I grew up in my mama's boutique, The Cornerstone. I learned how to be a personal shopper and helped style  women alongside my mama.

Growing up in that store opened my eyes to faith and the ministry that is styling others to show up as their best self.

After the closing of the storefront, The Cornerstone, I held many positions in retail, from manager, buyer, to graphic design and marketing.

As someone who has always had an undying love for fashion, I came back to my passion and wanted to share it with those around me.

I took my career as a personal stylist to the next level becoming a Certified Fashion Stylist. I married all my skills of being a graphic designer, marketing and personal styling to establish a holistic approach to Personal Brand Styling.

This journey hasn't always been straightforward for me. Before I decided to do this heartwork of styling others to be the best version of themselves, I had to find out what that was for me. Most of my early adult life, I thought I wasn’t enough being me. I thought I wasn’t worth it. I thought I was stupid. I thought I was annoying. Years of guilt and shame overshadowed who I truly was.  After much needed therapy and prayer I learned to trust in something greater myself and more importantly, love and trust in me. The process isn’t straightforward. But when you love yourself, miracles begin to happen. You learn what you desire. And you manifest those desires.

I pray that you find more than just your signature style, I pray you find faith, hope, and love for yourself.

Join me on this journey. Get Dressed and Show Up.

“...TO GIVE UNTO THEM BEAUTY FOR ASHES, THE OIL OF JOY FOR MOURNING, THE GARMENT OF PRAISE FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS; THAT THEY MIGHT BE CALLED TREES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE PLANTING OF THE LORD, THAT HE MIGHT BE GLORIFIED.”

Isaiah 61:3 KJV

MY WHY

My why is building other women and young girls up. It may be small to others, but I found my way of doing that through clothes. For 5 years of my 15 year career, I worked at a lingerie store and noticed something, when a women strips herself of her armor or mask (whichever it is that day) she is so vulnerable. Our clothes say a lot about us and how we feel about ourselves. When done right, the right clothes can be a game changer.

My Life is full of the many facets of my wheel house. I am a wife to my amazing and driven husband of over 10 years. We have three fearless go-getter daughters ages 3, 6, and 8. In addition to my passion as a Personal Brand Stylist, I also run a summer camp called Oak Tree Camps for kids age 5-13, I flip houses every once in awhile with hubby, I co-own a currated collection of preloved women's apparel at My Mamas Closet, and I’m a Girl Scout leader to some amazing young girls who will shake up the world one day.

My client base is the professional business women. From entrepreneurs to c-suite powerhouses, I work with women who understand the value of their Personal Brand and image. She’s a go-getter in her field and whether she is running her own business, climbing the corporate ladder, making partner, or leading a company to the fortune 500, she wants and needs to looks her best. She understands the value of first impressions and appearances.

On the flip side, I know we’re not all that women I described above. I certainly wasn’t. It took a lot to come into finding my “why” and who I was at this stage in my life. I’ve had many spokes in my wheelhouse from balancing being a young wife and boss, working mom, to stay-at-home mom, to juggling being a mom of three, and starting a business. I’ve been through all the stages of WTH am I doing? LOL! I just wanted to be free to look and feel like my best self, and at the very least, a little more put together than yoga pants and a t-shirt with breastmilk stains.

I feel you sis!

So, if you're at one of those stages and you find you need to show up for yourself, I’m here to help you in any way I can. You’re not alone sis... I’m a God Girl so I feel this is apart of God’s calling on my life. I just want to give people a small glimpse of the grace God has given me.

You owe it to yourself to show up for yourself .
