I’m on a tight budget and would like to spend less than $1000 for a wardrobe makeover. Do you work with budget conscious shoppers?
Absolutely, but staying within this budget is easier for a repeat client or for someone who is really looking for key additions to their closet. If you're looking to revamp your whole wardrobe all at once you may want to consider a seasonal capsule wardrobe to work within your current budget. Remember you can always schedule a personal shopping session for the next season.
What if I can’t afford to buy new clothes?
Shifting your style doesn’t cost thousands of dollars. It’s about understanding what resonates with you in this season of your life. We start with your current wardrobe and upgrade it within your budget. It’s an investment in yourself that you won't regret.
Keep in mind, if you wait to revamp your style, you’ll miss the gift of transformation. This experience takes you from seeing yourself as good enough to - hair toss, check my nails, feeling good as hell! OKAY! Don’t let another year pass you by before igniting massive growth in your business and life.<gdiv></gdiv>
I don't think style is important, why should I invest in styling service?
Within the first seven seconds of meeting you, people think they know who you are based on how you look. Personal style gives you the ability to reclaim the way you’re perceived.
You’ll shift how you feel about yourself and how you look. There's a science to this.
When you discover your true style, you emanate confidence, and those around you will invest in you.
I encourage you to be open to the possibility that style is not as superficial as you may think.
An integrated relationship with the body and its image creates freedom.
What you wear and how you show up energetically is a form of critical communication. Over 80% of communication is nonverbal. Style isn’t about trends or fashion. It’s about diving deep to bring who you truly are (in your business and life) to the surface so that you don’t have to work so hard to communicate who you are and what you do. When you show up in your true authentic style people feel it and will say “YES!” to what you have to offer, because you’re living from the truest version of yourself.<gdiv></gdiv>
Will I have to spend a lot of money on clothes?
You set your own budget. There is also a budgeting bonus for those who sign up for the courses. It is important to have some buying power (i.e., room to buy and try on a credit card), but you are not required to purchase anything. If you are really wanting to transform your look and feel, then is it a good idea to have a small budget to invest in a few items. You will learn to invest over time in your style. I have had clients spend as little as $300 or go up to $2000. Style is a long-term strategy, so there is no pressure to buy, and you will learn to implement over time and wait for the right item.
How can hiring a personal stylist save me time and money when I pay for the service and clothes?
You’ll avoid wasting time shopping through racks, waiting in lines all to get home and wonder why you bought it. Your closet will be edited so you can find what you’re looking for easily. Your strategic shopping list will be super focused so you’re spending money on things you need and fit your lifestyle and personal style. You’ll stop wasting money on impulse items. The average client saves $200+ per shopping trip and thousands over the year.<gdiv></gdiv>
How many stores do I need to shop from?
For virtual styling you will be given an online shopping guide and a retail guide. It is up to you to make it as big or small of an adventure as you want. The more you visit and purchase, the more feedback I can give on your selections and styles.
For in person styling, I pre-shop 2-3 stores and you come at a schedule time to try-on preselected items with no pressure to purchase. I am not on commission. I’m here to serve you so my feelings won’t be hurt if you don’t like something, but I consider myself an expert on picking out pieces that work for my clients. My goal is for you to feel 100% satisfied with the selection.
Who buys the clothes?
You do. But you can (and should) return anything you don't want or that doesn't fit your present budget. You can review your budgeting with the budget bonus offered.
Is now the right time?
Is this for me?
If you’re longing to feel more confident and comfortable in your skin and want an efficient process to discover your authentic style, and/or if you desire to find your brand voice and style, plus earn more money, then, YES! If you don’t feel like putting the time into learning about how you look and/or how your business brand is represented, then this probably isn’t for you. My ideal clients are small business owners who have done the work of creating the marketing and brand strategy but need help implementing the creative vision for their Brand Identity so they can show up visually and resonate with their audience.
I am in the process of losing weight. I want to look good now, but I am not ready to purchase a new wardrobe until I am at my goal weight. Do you have any options for this?
How many months have you been promising yourself that you're going to lose a few pounds? First things first, I never want you to feel shame about your body, it's beautiful and I hope you care for and love what your body does for you. With that said, the styling process is all about increasing your confidence and building your self-esteem right where you are, from the outside, in. I believe now is a perfect time to begin. It's amazing how finding clothes that fit your shape at every stage your body goes through can keep you in a place of loving yourself and motivated to reach your ultimate goal. It's about being very strategic with spacing out your shopping and finding a good tailor. Plus, here's a secret, even if you lose a lot of weight your body type is the same. So the information you obtain during our styling session about dressing your body type will always remain relevant for you whether you're a 16 or a 10, so when you reach your ideal goal you'll be armed with knowledge to help you style your beautiful body long after we're done working together, which is my ultimate goal. If you'd like to go ahead and purchase a wardrobe consult and/or shopping, there is no expiration. You can use it when you feel, whether it takes you a month or a year!
Where do you take clients shopping?
At a place they find convenient. If they do not specify a location, then we typically go to a mall in the local area. I have a few unique boutiques around the city that I shop for my repeat clients.
For virtual clients, the options are almost limitless.<gdiv></gdiv>
I am extremely busy and hate shopping. Can you shop for me?
Absolutely. I work with many busy clients; whether you are a busy parent or a professional who doesn't have time to shop. Our shopping services are the same rate, no matter if we are shopping for or with you. After determining what you need in our personal style consultation, I will take your shopping list and sizing information and hit the stores! Then, the items can be brought to your home where you can try them on, or you can meet me in the store. You decided what you like and don’t like in a no-pressure environment. One round of returns and exchanges is included in your in-home try-ons. I will take care of all returns and exchanges for you, so you don't have to take time out of your busy schedule.
I don’t need a lot of styling advice. I just want someone I can rely on to shop for me. Is that something you can do?
My working clients prefer email, texts and sometimes just give me a budget. I can shop and personally deliver the items to their doorstep. I even pack their bags for work trips and vacations, create look books to integrate the new items into your existing wardrobe. This is the personal luxury of the Style Concierge service I offer.
Can you teach me how to dress so I won’t need you every time I go shopping?
Possibly the best part of my job. Yes! I talk a lot about styling tips and hacks. We'll take pictures and over time it becomes second nature. I am happy to answer style-related SOS emails and texts for my clients. You can also sign up for my Embodied Style Course and become an expert with your own style.
Do you work with men as well as women?
I work with both genders, of all seasons of life and ages. Whether you are a stay-at-home parent who wants to feel more put-together, or a high-level executive that wears suits to work each day, I tackle it all.
I'm a bride struggling with how to style my bridal party and groomsmen to make everything feel and look cohesive and put-together. Can you help me?
Of course. I offer styling services for all aspects of the wedding; from the events leading up to it, to bridesmaids dresses & groomsmen suits/tuxes, accessories and wedding party gifts. We will sit down and talk about the look you want to achieve, and present options on how to achieve it with your wedding party. We can promise you a stress-free experience, and your photos will be nothing short of STUNNING!
How do you adapt to my personal style and my age? If I am 60 years old, I certainly don't want to be dressing like a 30 year old.
It’s my job to adapt to my clients' personal style and everyday activities, age, and lifestyle. After working with clients of all ages for almost 15 years and constantly studying style for all ages, I developed a library of knowledge to help you show up as your best self no matter your age. I can promise you that a 60-year old will not end up with a shopping list or a new style built for a 25-year old! I also provide new clients with an extensive form to fill out, discussing everything from age, to everyday activities, to style goals and shopping preferences. Working with my mom serving clients between 40-60 years old is how I got my start in personal shopping and styling. You can trust that I will adapt to your personal style.
I like to shop discount stores like Nordstrom Rack and Marshalls. Do you take clients there?
For first time in-person clients, I do not. While I love a good sale myself, it can be difficult to do a full shopping trip for a new client at these locations. Sizes are tough to find for starters and it’s a hunt to get what you need in the short time we have. However, I do an excellent job at finding items on sale at regular retailers. In fact, I try to help my clients save as much money as possible by searching through these discount racks first. Now, if you are a repeat client, I’m always on the look out for pieces that work for my clients and I not only shop discounts store but I source boutiques and thrift stores.
Do you make commission on the purchases I make at the stores you take me to?
I do not make a commission. Therefore, I have no agenda to push items at you. Unlike a store sales associate who needs the commission and has no idea of your existing closet or your needs. I do however, try to build a relationship with stores I frequent so I can extend any savings to my clients.
How long is the Closet Re-do? Will I be trying things on?
Depending on the size of the closet, the closet edit can take up to 2.5 hours. As we create piles of items to sell or donate, we also create new looks with the pieces that stay, so YES, you will be trying things on. It is like going shopping in your own closet.
Do I need to prepare anything for the Closet Re-do?
It is very helpful to have a few big bags to put items that will be donated in. It is also helpful to have coats and shoes pulled from closets and close to the main closet that is being assessed.
I provide a closet re-do prep-list for each of my clients.
Can I invite a friend/spouse?
Of course, however they can prove to be more of a distraction. If you are serious about finding your true style and dressing to suit your personality, look to your stylist with a fresh pair of eyes. It’s their expertise you are paying for.
What should I wear and expect?
Wear some thing that is easy to take on and off, and comfy shoes without laces. Have on your best fitting bra and if you wear shape wear, bring it. As a stylist, I am skilled in styling and can quickly and confidently identify your body shape and style personality after our initial consult. We will go over the basics like your age, height and size. Information about your job and lifestyle always form an important part of the styling process. It also helps to understand your budget parameters, your likes and dislikes. Some clients bring with them a favorite piece of clothing or some pictures of current style; we leave this entirely up to each client’s preference. All information provided is kept strictly confidential.
How far will you travel?
I don't have any issues with travelling any distance, but I do like to work around my family schedule, which generally means I need to travel from and back to my house between 8.30am and 4pm. With advance notice I can increase these hours to 6pm. Travel outside of a 20 mile radius will incur a travel fee. Out of state travel is an option.
Do I have to get naked at any point?
You will be getting changed and trying on lots of different outfits but
a): you can do this in a separate room if you'd like and I also have a pop up dressing room.
b): you'll always have your underwear on unless you opt for a bra fitting.
Do try and remember that I see women of all different ages, shapes and sizes everyday of the week! I want you to feel comfortable at all times so I will ask ahead of time what’s best for you so it won’t be an awkward conversation.
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each individual I work with is treated as such - and each project, after consultation, is quoted based on your specific needs. Generally pricing is flat rate, so there are no additional hours owed or fees due at project completion unless traveling is involved. I strive to always be transparent and fair with pricing. I do offer discounts for referrals and repeat clients. Payment plans are available for services over $500.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Each individual is treated as such and provided custom tailored "packages" to include everything you need, and nothing you don't!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Marketing which is how I got into branding. I spent a few years freelancing as a graphic designer and learned so much. I am a Certified Fashion Stylist from the Fashion Stylist Institute and my years in retail has given me extensive knowledge in styling individuals from all walks of life. <gdiv style="position:absolute;top:0px;left:0px"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG ginger-floatingG-closed" style="display:none"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-disabled-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip">Enable Ginger</gdiv></gdiv><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-offline-main"><gdiv class="ginger-floatingG-bar-tool-tooltip"><em>Cannot connect to Ginger</em> Check your internet connection
